Sights and experiences

In addition to the three high-quality cottages, we want to offer all year round our customers versatile ways to spend your cottage holiday. The nearby forests are excellent for berry and mushroom picking and the ponds and Lake Syysjärvi for fishing.

You can admire Lake Syysjärvi by paddling, SUPing or even touring skating, depending on the season. In winter when weather conditions are favorable, our cottages have sledding hills as well as access to a cross-country ski route running in the woods and on ice. There are also several dirt roads in the surrounding area suitable for cycling. Every August, the annual cycling event Luonteri pyöräily, one of Mikkeli Classics, passes the Harmola farm.

We also offer the possibility of a program services according to your wishes. How does a hike on the nearby Neitvuori, one of the highest places in Southern Savonia, sound like? How about cooking delicious food on open fire? During the winter, our selection naturally includes also skiing technique lessons as well as skiing and touring skating trips. If you have some other ideas and wishes, we are all ears!

Kotleipomo Siiskonen is a local bakery. The bakery shop and café-restaurant Punaisen piipun kievari is located about in Juva 18 km from Harmola. Enjoy a delicious lunch or bun coffee in the cozy atmosphere or take some of the delicious treats with yout. You can actually even paddle near Siiskonen from our holiday cottages.

Puumala archipelago route

The approximately 60-kilometer-long cycling route runs through the islands, bridges and ridges in the most beautiful landscapes of Lake Saimaa. The journey between the islands of Hurissalo and Lintalalo is made on the Norppa 2 bike ferry, where a place must be reserved in advance.

The nearby Neitvuori offers a wonderful hiking terrain with fireplaces. The lengths of the hiking trails range from a few kilometers to over 50 kilometers and are mostly easy to navigate. From the viewpoints you can admire the eye-catching landscapes of Lake Saimaa.
