Good to know

You are welcome to spend your cottage holiday in Harmola on the arrival day from 4 pm onwards. Upon arrival in Harmola, we will hand over the cottage keys from the farm and you will be guided to your destination. At arrival, we will walk you through the main things to know about staying safe and comfy at the cottage. There is also a cottage folder on the table of each holiday home, which contains more detailed information about the cottage and, among other things, the services in the area.

On the day of departure, the keys are to be handed over to the host by 12 at noon, unless otherwise agreed (e.g. weekend bookings). If you wish, you can order the final cleaning in advance, in which case the cottage should be handed over by 11 am.

Harmola farm is located approximately 28 km from Mikkeli, where you can find larger grocery stores and a variety of services. The village of Anttola is 15 km away. There is a small grocery store and during the summer a few small restaurants.

Lake Syysjärvi offers fishing opportunities all year round. Worm fishing and ice fishing are allowed without a permit, but fishing with a spinning rod, trap and/or net require a permit. Fishermen aged 18-64 must pay the Finnish national fisheries management fee, which can be purchased, for example, at www.eraluvat.fi. In addition to the fisheries management fee, a permit is required for fishing with a spinning rod, trap and/or net. You can get help with the permits from the Harmola host.
